Vision

To encourage students’ individual, academic and integrated development by providing leadership and counseling services and thus prepare them for a diverse, enterprising and global society.

Mission

  • To provide a comprehensive, harmony, competent and responsive system to facilitate a good learning environment to the students.
  • To arrange various leadership, social, extracurricular and counseling programs to inculcate responsibility among students so as to enable them to become productive citizens of the society

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To monitor day to day essential support required for academic and co-curricular activities of students.
  • To prepare plan and execute programmes for holistic development of the students.
  • To nominate student representatives to various bodies of the University in consultation with elected student body.
  • To enable students to participate effectively in the management of Hostels and also in organization of the students related activities.
  • To advice Student Council as and when required.
  • To work with the Assistant Director of Sports, Hostel Wardens, Sport Officer, Cultural Officer for all matters related to students’ Welfare.
  • To arrange to depute students to participate events/programmes outside the University.
  • To keep in touch with the guardians as and when required.
  • To arrange for maintenance of students’ discipline in the Campus.
  • To Provide leadership for individual students and integrate them with other students.
  • To Provide care and support for individual students, particularly if they are not used to being away from home.
  • Arranging for  emergency health service, as and when the need arises.

This office is committed to student well being and betterment under the leadership of Prof. Madhu K C. It strives for the all round development of the students in all spheres of life through counseling & various other student-oriented programs.

List of Events Conducted:

  1. Blood donation awareness program using friends2support.org at SJMIT Campus on 25-03-2019 120 participants.
  2. Hospital visit for first year B.E. students on 21-08-2019 at BMCH & RC, Chitradurga.
  3. COVID-19 test for the students on 10-03-2020 CIVIL Seminar hall, SJMIT Chitradurga for 300 students.
  4. BLOOD DONATION CAMP on 18-02-2020 at CIVIL Seminar hall, SJMIT Chitradurga more than 25 students donated the blood.
  5. VACCINATION DRIVE on 07-07-2021 at, SJMIT Office for 400 students and college staff got vaccinated
  6. BLOOD DONATION CAMP on 10-11-2022 at CIVIL Seminar hall, SJMIT Chitradurga more than 45 students donated the blood.
  7. Hospital visit for first year B.E. students on 11-09-2023 at BMCH & RC, Chitradurga.
  8. Blood Donation Program on 11-12-2023 at Sir M.V hall, SJMIT, Chitradurga.
  9. AWARENESS PROGRAM ABOUT FIRST AID, GAS LEAKAGE PROTECTION, SNAKE BITE AND SOCIAL SERVICES on 14-09-2023 at CIVIL Seminar hall, SJMIT Chitradurga for 200 students.
  10. Students are participated in 22nd VTU youth festival Yuvothsava-2023.
  11. Students are participated in different sports and cultural activities in college fest.
  12. “LIFE SAVING SKILLS AND AWARENESS PROGRAM ALONG WITH DEMONSTRATION” on 19-09-2024 at: CIVIL Seminar hall, SJMIT Chitradurga.175 students are participated.
