On March 26, 2025, the Managing Director of the State Biofuel Development Board, Mr. Shivashankar L.K.S.S., along with Deputy Forest Conservation Officer and Technical Officer Mr. B.R. Lohith, visited and inspected the District Biofuel Information, Research, and Demonstration Center at S.J.M.I.T. They appreciated the center’s efforts and approved a grant of ₹2.75 lakh
