National Technology Day 2026 Successfully Organized at SJMIT
The National Technology Day celebration was successfully organized at SJM Institute of Technology under the banner of SJM University. The event was conducted with the theme “Responsible Innovation for Inclusive Growth”, highlighting the importance of technology-driven solutions that benefit society and promote sustainable development.
The program commemorated India’s remarkable technological achievements, including the successful Operation Shakti, the test-firing of the Trishul Missile, and the first flight of the Hansa-3. The celebration emphasized self-reliance, scientific temper, innovation, and technological excellence.
As part of the event, students actively participated in various competitions designed to encourage creativity, critical thinking, and communication skills:
Elocution Competition
An Elocution Competition was conducted on the topic “Responsible Innovation for Inclusive Growth.” Students delivered insightful speeches discussing the role of technology in addressing societal challenges, promoting inclusivity, and fostering national development.
Essay Writing Competition
An Essay Competition was also organized on the same theme. Participants presented thoughtful ideas on ethical innovation, sustainable technological advancement, and the importance of ensuring that the benefits of innovation reach all sections of society.
The Principal, management, faculty coordinators, IQAC team, Heads of Departments, and student coordinators played a significant role in the successful organization of the program.
During the valedictory session, the Principal and Heads of Departments distributed certificates to the winners of the Elocution and Essay Writing Competitions and appreciated all participants for their enthusiastic involvement. The celebration concluded with recognition of the prize winners and participants, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to nurturing innovation, research, and technological excellence among students.
