National Voluntary Blood Donation Camp & AIDS Awareness Program-2025

National Voluntary Blood Donation Camp  &  AIDS Awareness Program

The Youth Red Cross and National Service Scheme (NSS) units of SJM Institute of Technology, Chitradurga, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society, HDFC Bank, and Rotary Club Chitradurga, organized two major health awareness initiatives on 1st December 2025 at Sir M V Hall, SJMIT — an AIDS Awareness Program and a National Voluntary Blood Donation Camp.

The camp was conducted with the objective of promoting voluntary blood donation and encouraging students and staff to contribute towards saving lives. The initiative received enthusiastic participation from donors across the campus.

The AIDS Awareness Program aimed to educate students on HIV/AIDS, its prevention, symptoms, and the importance of early diagnosis. The session emphasized eliminating social stigma and encouraged students to adopt safe and healthy practices. The program highlighted the significance of World AIDS Day and the role of youth in spreading awareness within the community.

The event was coordinated by Prof. Neelakantappa T T (Youth Red Cross Coordinator) and Dr. Niranjan E (NSS Coordinator), under the guidance of Dr. Bharath P. B, Principal, SJMIT. Their efforts ensured smooth organization and effective mobilization of volunteers.

The institution appreciates the dedication of all coordinators, volunteers, and partnering organizations for their valuable support in making the camp a meaningful and impactful event. SJMIT continues to uphold its commitment to social service, community welfare, and humanitarian values through such initiatives.
