Engineers Day Celebration 2025

Engineers’ Day 2025 was celebrated across India on September 15 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, a legendary engineer and statesman known for his contributions to infrastructure, water systems, and nation-building.

The 2025 theme, “Deep Tech & Engineering Excellence: Driving India’s Techade,” emphasized the growing role of cutting-edge technologies like AI, robotics, and quantum computing in shaping India’s future. Across the country, engineering colleges, universities, and professional institutions held events featuring guest lectures, student competitions, exhibitions, and tributes to Sir MV’s legacy. Special focus was placed on aligning engineering education with innovation, ethics, and sustainability.

Afternoon Session of the Day:

A Department of Civil Engineering organized a seminar on ” Challenges and opportunities in Civil Engineering”.  The Resource person   Er. Ashok Reddy S Kollur spoke about Gap between research / academia & field practice, Quality control & standardization, Sill shortage, Infrastructure durability & repair / rehabilitation, Adoption of new technology &Cost & economic constraints.  The target audience were 3rd, 5th & 7th Sem civil engineering students.
