On March 26, 2025, the Managing Director of the State Biofuel Development Board, Mr. Shivashankar L.K.S.S., along with Deputy Forest Conservation Officer and Technical Officer Mr. B.R. Lohith, visited and inspected the District Biofuel Information, Research, and Demonstration Center at S.J.M.I.T. They appreciated the center’s efforts and approved a grant of ₹2.75 lakh for the purchase of a multi-oil expeller unit.
On this occasion, the Principal, Dr. Bharat P.B., Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Dr. Shivakumar S.P., Director of the Biofuel Center, Dr. Rajesh A.M., Co-Director, Prof. Prabhuswamy G.S., and Mr. Sunil Kumar were present.
During the visit, the officials also inspected the Skill Council for Green Jobs (SCGJ) Center, which offers courses on Green Hydrogen and Suryamitra. They gathered information about the center’s training programs and expressed their appreciation.
